Call for Abstracts

8th ALIA Top End Symposium
Darwin, Northern Territory
4 and 5 October 2013

Call for Abstracts

ALIA Top End invites abstracts of proposed presentations / papers for the Symposium to be held in Darwin from midday Friday 4 October to midday Saturday 5 October 2013.

We invite our colleagues to join us at our biennial conference to share their stories and delve into what makes Territory libraries unique now and into the future.
Through the theme of Design Discover Diversify we hope to encourage presenters to explore options including, but not limited to:

  •  Investigate design thinking, designing our career paths, library design, and designing tools and apps.

  • Discover our clients (their expectations and needs), our collections and services and how we make them accessible; discover new directions in publishing and explore how we link up with our colleagues.
  •  Think outside the square - diversify, celebrate our diversity and explore what kinds of service models we will be moving to in the future and what our skill sets need to be.
You are invited to submit an abstract that outlines what you would like to present on in light of these topics.
