CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

ALIA Top End invites abstracts of proposed presentations for the Top End Symposium to be held in Darwin from midday Friday 16 October to midday Saturday 17 October 2015.

This Symposium is aimed at attracting the library workforce across all sectors and provides opportunities for emerging professionals to have their say about the future of libraries and the profession.

Through the theme of Evolution, Excellence and Energy: the Triple E approach to future proofing libraries, we encourage presenters to explore options including, but not limited to:
·          Evolution of library services that are proactive and sustainable;
·          Excellent services to our community that are innovative and creative;
·          Energetically engaging our communities.

You are invited to submit an abstract that outlines what you would like to present in light of these topics.

Abstracts
An abstract of your presentation is due by Monday 13th July and should consist of no more than 300 words. Abstracts should be submitted electronically to: tes15prog@gmail.com

Abstracts will be expected to meet the following criteria:
·          Relevance to the audience and topics;
·          Clarity, coherence and organisation of writing;
·          Innovation and Creativity of the work.

Peer Review
For the first time the ALIA Top End Symposium is offering the opportunity to presenters to submit a paper for peer review. If you wish to take advantage of this opportunity please clearly indicate this as part of the submission of your abstract.

All presenters are required to submit their presentations and any supplementary material prior to the Symposium – see the timeline below.
